How good are the cruising boats from Bavaria, Bénéteau, Catalina and Hanse in direct comparison? Part 2 of the big class test

It's all in the mix: Thanks to the slightly longer and high-sided hull, the Hanse 341 shines with the most stowage and living space of the quartet. A crew of four doesn't need more comfort, even on longer trips. But what is much more important: the volume is not at the expense of the sailing characteristics. On the contrary, the Hanse presented itself as the most balanced cruising boat in the comparison. The self-tacking jib makes her suitable for single-handed sailing, but was not entirely convincing. As in the first YACHT test, the position of the headsail was unsatisfactory and the handling was unnecessarily stiff.
